Chelsea stars mobbed in Malaysia as Blues touch down for pre-season tour

Chelsea’s stars touched down in Malaysia to a hero’s welcome on Monday ahead of their pre-season tour of Asia.

The Blues will take on Malaysia XI on Thursday, and Thailand All Stars on Saturday before concluding their tour on July 27 against Hong Kong side Kitchee.

Charlie Adam scored from the spot on his first start for Liverpool as Kenny Dalglish‘s side won another high-scoring friendly 6-3.

Having beaten Guangdong 4-3 in China three days ago, there were nine more goals in an entertaining clash against a Malaysian XI.

Perodua Myvi Redesigned in Malaysia

Perodua, one of the two Malaysian government-linked carmakers, has launched the second generation of its Myvi, the country’s best-selling car. Having held the number-one title for five consecutive years, it looks like the designers played it safe by going for an evolutionary change as the new model retains the same profile as its predecessor.

The Myvi is based on the same platform as the Daihatsu Boon and Toyota Passo. Daihatsu, a Toyota affiliate, is Perodua’s technical partner. Read more…

Gua Tempurung is a cave in Gopeng, Perak, Malaysia. It is popular with cavers and caving enthusiasts. More than 3 km long, it is one of the longest caves of Peninsular Malaysia. Part of it was designed as a show cave with electric lighting and sidewalks and there are a number of tours of varying length and difficulty. A fine river cave flows the river crossing about 1.6 km through the hills. There are three large chambers and some spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.

Arsenal to play in Malaysia on Asia tour.

LONDON (Reuters) – English Premier League side Arsenal will travel to Asia to play a Malaysia XI in a friendly match in July despite manager Arsene Wenger’s concerns about long tours causing fatigue to players.

The game will take place at the country’s Bukit Jalil Stadium, which has a capacity of over 80,000, on July 13 in the first part of their Asian tour. The club said they would give details about the second stage at a later date. Read more…
